Paul Smith & Co are a North West based Construction Company who have been successfully trading and sustaining growth since 2004. We have completed many diverse projects during our trading years and currently have a turnover in excess of £2 Million.
We have vast experience within the industry of new build, refurbishment works, commercial, industrial, retail, conservation and domestic sectors. In these sectors we are accustomed to working to tight deadlines, delivering schemes both on time and within budget. In the retail sector we are experienced at carrying out works whilst the client is still trading, requiring the most careful co-ordination. Having regard for Health & Safety issues and Working Techniques. We are sympathetic to the clients requirements utilising programme techniques that clearly identify critical elements of work thereby ensuring that targets are achieved and works completed in a timely and safe manner.
As a Construction Company we operate nationwide for our current clients covering most of England and Scotland employing direct labour which is integral to our business. This helps our company to focus on the client’s needs and requirements. In addition to our own workforce we occasionally employ local labour dependant on the needs of the project all of which are supervised by our experienced Site Managers and Project Managers, we have an in house estimating team which monitors project costs are all times.
All staff receive up to date training of varying levels commensurate with today’s demands on Health and Safety. The Director, Managers and Employees are all time served and qualified in their specialist field. All our staff adopt a hands-on approach and are readily available from Director level down.

Paul Smith Managing Director
As Managing Director of a small but dynamic plumbing and construction company, I take pride in steering our business through an ever-changing evolving industry.
I understand customer expectations, and sustainable practices. With over 40 years of experience in various guises from plumber, site manager and Contracts manager , I have developed a strong foundation in both technical construction and specialist services operations along with strategic management skills.
I oversee a skilled team in both office and site environments to ensure projects are met to client expectation.
I manage many ranges of work from complex refurbishments to small emergency plumbing repairs.
My role includes everything from client engagement and subcontractor coordination to regulatory compliance and financial oversight. I remain deeply involved in day-to-day operations, driving continuous improvement across the company, and strive for customer satisfaction.
My aim is to build resilient relationships, elevate our company’s reputation in a competitive market. Whether we’re solving structural issues, upgrading heating systems, or managing full-scale renovations, our commitment to quality workmanship and transparent communication sets us apart from others.
